Reunification Transportation Services is a nonprofit organization
that was founded in 2004. The founding members bring years of experience in working with families and friends who have
loved ones incarcerated. We provide bus and van trips to most of the prisons across Pennsylvania. Many times a visit often
inspires a better relationship between family and friends and can set the tone for a successful re-entry back into the community. Our Mission
is to provide families and friends of incarcerated loved ones throughout the state of Pennsylvania, the opportunity to
visit on a consistant basis. Bus
and Van Services Our van service visits scheduled prison facilities once a month. We work hand-in-hand with prison administration to assure all visitors are on inmates visitors list, all paper work is filled out correctly, and we are mediators for visitors and prison facilities. For reservations, send an e-mail to scomorgps@aol.com or call 215.324.1751. Be sure to leave your name, telephone number and the institution you wish to visit along with the number people wanting to visit. Someone will return your call within 5 business days. Our van driver is a qualified individual who has an excellent driving record. He is courteous and has good communication skills. Legislation The Healthy Birth of Incarcerated Women Act (Sen. Daylin Leach, D-Montgomery) was signed into law (Act 45 of 2010) by Governor Edward Rendell on Friday, July 2, 2010. It bans the practice of shackling pregnant prisoners in Pennsylvania during their transport to the hospital and while they are in labor, delivery and recovery. 52 (Sen. Stewart Greenleaf, R-Montgomery) passed in June 2009. The result is an advisory committee through the Joint
State Government Commission that is studying the impact on children with parents or caregivers involved in the criminal
